- 10 eggs
- 250g butter or margarine
- 250g walnuts
- 250g sugar
- 10 table spoons of sugar more
- 100g cooking chocolate
Crust preparation :
Separate 10 egg whites from 10 eggs, pour it in one vessel, add 250g of sugar and whisk it all well until it becomes solid foamy mixture. After that, add to this mixture 250g of walnuts (half of it finely ground with a grinder and half of it finely chopped with the knife edge by hand). Whisk it all well, spread the half of this mixture into the average sized rectangular metal baking pan. The thickness of this spread mass should be about 0,5cm to 1cm depending on the baking pan size. Put it into the oven and bake it on the temperature 1800C for about 15 minutes until the crust get golden brown appearance. When it was finished, pull out baking pan from the oven, cut the crust vertically into two equal parts, extract them from the baking pan and leave them to cool off. Thus, we have two layers for filling.
Then repeat the procedure spreading the second half of the mixture into the baking pan and bake it in the oven like previous crust. When it was completed, pull out the baking pan from the oven, cut the crust vertically into two equal parts, extract them from the baking pan and leave them to cool off. So, now we have 4 layers for a filling.
Fill or creme preparation :
On the hot stove plate put the cooking pan, pour 10 egg yolks and 10 table spoons of sugar and whisk it well. Mix it while cooking until it becomes dense mixture (Honey like density). Then take the cooking pan from the plate and leave it to cool off. Add 250g butter (or margarine) and previously prepared 100g melted chocolate and mix it all well.
Arranging the cake :
Spread the creme mixture over each of 4 crust layers leaving some creme for final upper side of the crust and all 4 sides of the cake, spreading thin creme layer over them.
Decorate the cake using your broad field of imagination like writing and putting some nice decorating figures on the upper side of the cake depending on the type of the celebration. The edges could be decorated too.
It is recommended to put the finished cake into the refrigerator for a while as the cream gets appropriate density. After that, the cake is ready to serve.
